The first step of the project is to understand the building – this includes a research of the available historical documents that can explain the changes that have been made to the building over the years in order to understand the constraints and opportunities that the building offers.
Another step is a study of the building components – if the project involves a change of use, changes may be required to the ceiling, wall and floor compositions between the building unit and its neighbors.
Finally and above all, my goal is to understand the client's needs, their working methods and the experience they want to offer to the public in order to arrive at the simplest architectural solution, which in the end would appear as the evident choice.
